My experience in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness in Colorado is unfortunately really limited and based pretty much around Maroon Lake and the Maroon Bells. I end up driving down to the Bells each fall, photographing the iconic sunrise scene with a couple hundred other people, and I drive back home. Shameful, I know. It’s such a beautiful area of Colorado.

Back in July, we went down to Snowmass for a weekend of luxury at the Viceroy and much to my girlfriend’s dismay, I promised myself I’d hike Crater Lake for sunset at least one of the nights…
