Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam
Due to an unexpected night in Ha Tien, I only got to stay on Phu Quoc for a measly 20 hours. I didn’t explore much and I didn’t see much; Mainly because it poured for 19 of those 20 hours. From what I did see during my hour of wandering, I wasn’t impressed and questioned how in the hell it was considered a ‘hot spot.’ Duong Dong Beach wasn’t very picturesque because of the resorts, and to me, it just had the feeling of something I could experience at an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean. It kind of made me regret leaving Kep or not just moving north to explore another part of the Mekong Delta closer to my end destination of Ho Chi Minh City.
I know I passed judgement quickly in my little time there, but with the hassle of getting there and then flying out, it just left me feeling very… meh.
