Winter in Grand Teton National Park
Winter in Grand Teton National Park – Located in northwestern Wyoming, Grand Teton National Park protects stunning mountain scenery and a diverse array of wildlife. Rising more than 7,000 feet above the valley of Jackson Hole, the Teton Range dominates the park’s skyline. Natural processes continue to shape the ecosystem against this impressive and iconic backdrop.
Winter in Grand Teton National Park is something I had wanted to experience for a while – The Tetons are one of my favorite places, but I’ve always visited during the summer. I was curious what it is like blanketed in white, especially with much of the park closed down. Heading up to ski Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, I decided to spend an extra day (my birthday) with some buddies just driving around the park. It’s definitely different and much, much more quieter than the summertime, but as expected, it is still just as beautiful.
