Yoho National Park, British Columbia
The Great Road Trip of 2015
“Of course it’s f*cking clouding up,” I murmured to myself as I drove north towards Yoho National Park on the Trans Canada Highway. “Yoho” is a Cree expression of awe and wonder and together with Jasper, Kootenay and Banff National Parks, along with three British Columbia provincial parks (Hamber Provincial Park, Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, and Mount Robson Provincial Park) form the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site.
Yoho is not only the smallest national park (507 square miles) of the four contiguous national parks, but it remains relatively unknown simply because its overshadowed by Banff and Jasper.
Like so much of this trip, I drove around to see what I could while chasing some sun through clouds, rain, and snow…
