The Best Views I’ve Ever Seen, Part I

I keep finding myself writing, “It was one of the best views I’ve ever seen!” or at least some variation of the phrase. A lot of times it’s probably a slight exaggeration of excitement from a fresh trip, but not always. It got me thinking that if I had to choose, what would my leading ‘best views’ that I’ve ever seen be?

So in no particular order…

1. Tunnel View, Yosemite National Park

It’s the iconic Yosemite view and it’s iconic for a reason. (See More)

2. Angel’s Landing, Zion National Park

You know you’re looking at it, but it still just doesn’t make sense…. (See More)

3. Hurricane Pass, Grand Teton National Park

I’ll never forget coming over Hurricane Pass from Alaska Basin and being greeted with this view. (See More)

4. Kayangan Lake Overlook, Coron, Palawan, Philippines

Maybe I loved it because it was essentially my introduction to the Philippines. Or maybe because it’s just f*cking awesome. (See More)

5. Bacuit Bay, El Nido, Palawan, Philippines

This was the sunset every day in El Nido. Every. Freakin’. Day. (See More)

6. Rice Terraces of Batad, Philippines

Jaw dropping. The scale of these terraces is incomprehensible until you see it in person and trek to the bottom. This shot was taken from my bed at Hillside Inn. Literally. (See More)

7. Blue Lakes, Sneffels Wilderness, Colorado

Blue Lakes is located in one of the most beautiful glacial basins I have ever been to and I got to see it under one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen. (See more)
